This session definitely takes the cake for the hardest I've laughed during a shoot. Katie & Keelan wanted photos that felt natural and genuine to their love story, so we opted for a cozy in-home session at their new home outside of Austin, Texas.
One thing I absolutely love about in-home sessions is that it's so much easier for clients to feel comfortable and be themselves. Katie & Keelan were able to joke around and be themselves, laugh about their pups who were curiously peeking at them wondering why a girl with a camera was telling them to jump on their bed, get into impromptu pillow fights and laugh so hard they almost cried. I also loved documenting the details of their home, from their wooden signs to their newly painted kitchen to their modern boho decor.
Capturing sessions like these is always an honor. There is something so intimate about getting to document couples and families and their homes as they are now, so they can keep and have those memories as their families and lives grow and change. I'm hoping I'll be able to do even more sessions like this one in the future!
