Family sessions will always have a special place in my heart. Of course, weddings are beautiful, fun, and an incredible celebration of two people coming together – and I will always love them – but there's something about family sessions that just finds the beauty in simplicity. They're not flashy or extravagant, but they are so special and beautiful in an everyday kind of way.

Nestled in the heart of Southern California, we found the perfect location for the Dasté family's portrait session. The picturesque hills and majestic oak trees created a serene backdrop, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over everything, I knew this session was going to be magical.

One thing I absolutely love about candid family sessions is that they allow us to capture genuine moments of love and connection. There's no need to pose or force smiles; it's all about being present with each other and cherishing the little things that make a family unique. As soon as I met the Daste family, I could feel the warmth and love that they shared with each other. The session was effortless, and it felt like I was simply observing a day in their lives – capturing their joy and laughter.

Also Dani, the youngest of the Dasté family, had the cutest and funniest habit of spontaneous trust falls. She kept throwing herself back into her parents' arms, a look of pure joy on her face. And she had the cutest toothy smiles!! There's something about kids' laughter that lights up the whole world, and it was no different with Dani. Her genuine happiness was infectious and I was smiling behind my lens all session long.

The Dasté family session was a beautiful reminder that life's most precious moments are often the simplest ones and will forever have a special place in my heart. It was a candid and heartfelt experience that allowed us to capture the beauty of their everyday moments – the trust falls, the toothy smiles, and the unfiltered happiness. It was a session that showcased the genuine love and connection shared among family members, and it reminded me once again why I adore family photography so much.
